The Development Youth League is the only Football Youth League in the past 12 years that is sanctioned by NCR Football Association which is a branch of the Philippine Football Federation. In effect, this league will be a venue for the youth to be offered opportunities such as being scouted for the Philippine Football national team or college scholarships for players to play in the UAAP.

Following the guidance of the PFF, we believe we must adapt the game to fit the child’s needs, rather than forcing young players to adapt to the complexity of the adult game. For young players, adult-style football is too complex, demanding physical and mental abilities they are still developing.”
